What happens if you go to the hospital for a procedure or any other reason? Our physicians can be consulted at the following hospitals only;
Lucerne Hospital and Orlando Regional on S. Orange Ave.
If you are admitted to either of these hospitals and would like for Dr. Bourne, Dr Bauer or Dr Matthews to follow your Endocrinology care (especially Diabetes) you must ask that the Admitting physician to "Consult" our doctors. You are the patient and You are in charge. Request OUR Dr to be consulted, otherwise someone who is not familiar with your care will be seeing you for the duration of your hospital stay. We have an answering service that takes calls after hours to alert Dr. Bourne if you do have to stay in the hospital. If you know in advance that you will be going in for a procedure please call the office with questions about medications. |
